FryStar has used water-based inks for product-package printing operations since 2002, and today packaging boasting reduced environmental impact is used for all household panko products. FryStar Seven, one of the company’s key products, has been approved for the EcoLeaf environmental label, which guarantees disclosure of information on environmental load throughout the product’s life from production to disposal. Moreover, the adhesive agent used for bonding packaging materials together does not contain any organic solvent, and other steps have been taken as well to ensure that the product’s overall design achieves a lower environmental impact.
